Be transferred to Qingyan Ancient Town in the morning(1 hour). Qingyan ancient town, with its strong stone walls and isolated location, was a refuge for revolutionaries and their families during the Anti-Japanese War (1937-45). So it has a nickname as a mini “ Great Wall”. This more than 600 years’ old town keeps the exquisite ancient dwelling houses, temples, city walls and gateways from Ming and Qing dynasties. Continue your tour to Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun(3 hours), which is the largest waterfall in Asia. Huangshuoshu Waterfall is a part of Huangshuoshu Waterfall Park. You can take a big elevator down to get close to waterfall. You will appreciate different views of the waterfall, especially go behind the waterfall and see how water starts dropping and touch the waterfall. Close to Huangguoshu Waterfall, Tianxingqiao Scenic Resort is your next spot, the most distinguished character of the scenic resort is its abundance in water, rocks, forests and caves, which compose a picturesque view for the visitors. After breakfast, be transferred to the Dragon Palace Scenic Area. In Chinese myth, Dragon Palace is for Dragon king underwater where showcases all treasures in the world. So the Dragon Palace Scenic Area features a stunning array of caves, canyons, waterfalls, peaks, cliffs, rivers, stone forests, sinkholes, and underground rivers, all exemplifying the diverse beauty of Karst geology. Then, drive about 1-1.5 hours to Tianlong Tunpu Village that is the most famous Tunbao (village fortress) in Southwest Guizhou. Walk along the stone streets to see lots of bright colored masks and enjoy the featured Dixi Opera which is a kind of drama kept from ancient Ming period with performers wearing masks, colorful long skirts and battle banners to encourage armies and frighten enemies. Drive back to Guiyang in the late afternoon to have a good rest(1 hour).
