A wonderful day! You will head for Kanas Lake in the morning. You will be driven along the mountain road to visit the amazing Kanas Nature Reserve. It is one of the best places in Xinjiang where you can not only enjoy the magnificent mountains and lakes, but also visit the snow-capped icebergs. View the beautiful lake from Fish Pavilion. And then skip off the shuttle bus, take an 8-km (5-mile) hike to enjoy the three beautiful bays of Kanas River. Later you will have plenty of time to trek around the well-known Three Bays (Moon Bay, Dragon Bay, Immortal Bay) and enjoy the most beautiful mountain lake.

Head south-east from Kanas to Hemu Village which is known as the first village in China.Visit a small Tuvas museum in a wooden house. Drive from Burqin to Karamay. Visit the "Ghost City" on the way, which is one of the famous yardang landform in China, caused by strong howling wind and erosion. The various strange shapes formed by the wind erosion make you connect them with pagodas, temples, animals, etc. The oil field pumpjacks along the way to Karamay will tell you that mother nature has given this land riches below the desolation and loneliness.
